The colorful paintings of the impressionism and post-impressionism painters depict life in France during the Belle Epoque period. Through their paintings, you can see the massive industrialization that was happening in France. Their paintings portray scenes of life as it was in the 19th century. That was the beauty of the impressionists. They wanted to capture the every day scenes of life of the ordinary people.
